Symphony of the Self: Nurturing Growth, Confidence, and Harmony

Welcome to the new blog series on the self.

Diving head first into the world of coaching has opened my eyes to a lot but there hasn't been anything quite like the epiphany of what it really means to be holistic about oneself. Self being the key phrase.

Many coaches talk about the power of self-development, self-discipline and self-confidence, but what about everything else?

What's key in the relationship between coach and client is that as coaches, we don't come into your world and tell you how to live. We don't give advice and we don't change anything for you. You are the expert in your own life. The magic is in how we help you and empower you to find the answers for yourself, and build a plan around what works best for you.

But, I've always wanted to go a little bit deeper than that. I want to explore everything that makes you, you. Your self.

Self-development and the likes I mentioned above have been talked about to the point of saturation, it's all anyone thinks coaching is. But I stumbled upon a philosophy recently suggesting that as humans, we're simply not satisfied only by personal growth. If we just keep growing then what is it all really for? We need to balance this need to evolve with self-acceptance, love, belief, constructive criticism (very different from the inner critic), awareness, discipline, expression, discovery, compassion, regulation, and more.

I'm all about holistic life coaching, that means what I do encompasses your whole life, but there is no life without that spark that makes you, you. That self, that soul. That's who I'm doing this for. So my approach isn't just about personal growth and how you flourish in terms of improvement, but how you embrace yourself.

So come with me on this blogging journey where I'm deep-diving into all the ways we can be our truest selves... stay tuned!
