2024 Intentions: Vision Board Prompts

In my most recent blog post about a wonderful New Years ritual I love to do every year, the prospect of creating a 2024 vision board can often leave people feeling a bit stuck. Mood and vision boards are a fabulous way to start the journey of manifesting everything you want, but not knowing where to start or getting lost in a Pinterest vortex can get overwhelming and lacks guidance.

So I've put together a full guide based on the Wheel of Life coaching tool, to ensure you're putting together a 2024 vision board that works for you.

  1. Money and Resource:

  • Find images or words that represent your financial goals for the year.

  • For example, how much do you want to save (and can you, realistically?)

  • Consider your current salary, is it working for you? Are you accepting a less than your market worth?

  • Think about how you can maximise your income and what side hustles or other income streams you can develop.

  • Include pictures of experiences or possessions you aspire to attain, such as travel, big purchases or everyday costs.

  • Consider symbols that evoke a sense of financial stability and abundance.

  1. Diet and Nutrition:

  • Think about the way you feed and nourish yourself now, and dive deep into how that makes you feel physically, mentally and emotionally.

  • Consider your menstrual cycle, and how you can align your eating habits with what your body wants, needs and craves at different times of the month (research into luteal, follicular, ovulation and mensuration phases and what is best for your body.

  • Think about what you can do to make grazing and snacking healthier, more accessible, and even cheaper.

  • Busy lifestyle and overloaded schedule? Consider ways to make healthy meals in less time without relying on expensive takeout options and how this can fit into your routine.

  • Look for images of wholesome foods that align with your nutritional goals - have you got nutritional goals? If not, consider a healthy balance of various food groups and make sure you're getting enough of what you need.

  • Include words or quotes that motivate and encourage healthy eating habits.

  • Visualise your ideal relationship with food and overall well-being.

  1. Personal Growth:

  • Include images or symbols that represent personal development and self-improvement.

  • From your 2023 round-up, pick out any over arching themes of trauma response, emotional heaviness, stress or anything that's holding you back, and use your vision board to demonstrate ways you can care for yourself and heal.

  • Choose words or quotes that inspire growth and resilience.

  • Consider visuals that reflect the skills or qualities you want to cultivate.

  1. Social Butterfly:

  • Find images of social activities and gatherings that bring you joy.

  • Include pictures of friends and loved ones.

  • Visualise the type of social connections and relationships you want to nurture.

  • Evaluate your current friendships and be honest with yourself about how much you offer compared to what you get in return. This will ebb and flow over time, but evaluate if some relationships are more one sided than others, and if you need to retreat, or give more back - use your board to show yourself how you can do either.

  1. Blossoming Love Life:

  • Include symbols or images that represent love and connection.

  • Add pictures that evoke the feelings you want in your romantic relationships.

  • Single? Consider the relationship you have with yourself before thinking about manifesting a new partner. How do you show yourself love, patience, kindness and comfort? Think about the patterns you've had with previous partners and how those people may not have served you. Have they just been the same person in a different costume? Think about the type of person and their love language that would work in the healthiest way with you and what you have to offer.

  • In a relationship? Think about all the things you're grateful for and carry on that sense of gratitude into the new year. Not as happy as you'd like to be? Manifest the things that can improve your relationship quality - and plan a positive way to communicate with your spouse.

  • In a good place with yourself and considering a new relationship? Consider visualising the qualities you seek in a partner or the dynamics of a fulfilling relationship.

  1. Happy Hobbies and Lifestyle:

  • Find visuals that capture your ideal lifestyle and leisure activities.

  • For example, I live by the sea, and I don't spend nearly enough time enjoying it! So I'm manifesting more time on the sand, in the sea, and exploring the coastal path. Consider where you live - are you taking enough advantage of the green and blue spaces around you? They're the ultimate locations for a healthy mindset.

  • Include images of hobbies you want to explore or prioritise. Can you realistically fit these into your schedule? Think about how you can manage your life around the things you love to do.

  • Consider the overall atmosphere and energy you want in your daily life.

  1. Cool-girl Career:

  • Look for symbols or images related to your career aspirations.

  • Consider where you are now, and what you can realistically achieve in the next year - is a promotion on the cards? Are you in the right position to move up?

  • If you're self-employed, think about the potential threats to your industry that could make your offering irrelevant in the coming years, and dedicate to up-skilling into a new space that enhances your offering that can increase your pricing, set you apart, and keep your role relevant.

  • Include words or phrases that reflect your professional goals.

  • Visualise the skills, achievements, or milestones you want to accomplish in your career.

  1. Sense of Spirituality & Energy Alignment:

  • Find images that resonate with your spiritual or mindfulness practices.

  • Include symbols that represent inner peace and balance.

  • Visualise the connection between your spiritual beliefs and your daily life.

  • Think about what you can do more of. Regardless of religion or belief (or not having either), there are things you can do for your soul every day.

  • If you aren't religious or spiritual, think about daily habits that can help you heal, reduce your stress, and bring you into focus.

Remember to arrange these visuals on your vision board in a way that feels harmonious and resonates with your personal aesthetic (Pinterest is the best tool to explore aesthetics that align with you). The process of creating the vision board itself is a mindful and creative exercise that can help clarify your intentions and focus your energy on the goals you've set for the new year.
